Audio Recording & Podcasting

This guide provides resources and guidance for recording audio for podcasts and radio.

UMA Bangor's Radio Room

UMA Radio Room: Belfast Hall, Room 317

In order to use the Radio Room, you will need to check out the room key and recording kit from the Nottage Library Circulation Desk.

 

The recording kit includes:

  • 2 USB condenser microphones

  • 2 pairs of headphones with adapters to plug into the computer headphones jack

Getting Set Up:

  1. Plug in a mic (USB)

  2. Open Audacity on the desktop computer. 

  3. Select your microphone input (usually labeled by brand)

  4. Click the red "Record" button and go!
