Library Events

A guide with UMA Libraries' event information and Zoom links!

Need a break from life?

This isn’t your typical book club—no assigned reading, no pressure to talk about books you’re not interested in, and no attendance requirements. Simply bring whatever you’d like to read: a book, e-reader, audiobook (with headphones, please), or even a textbook. Then settle in for a relaxing hour of silent reading in the library.

Feel free to bring a snack and a covered drink to enjoy while you read.

Want to share what you’re reading? We’ll have cards available so you can swap recommendations with fellow readers.

Join us biweekly on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45 pm at Katz Library in Augusta! *Starts 9/10/25
