Thurs., 9/18 12 pm Zoom Open and Inclusive: Practical OER Strategies for Faculty Discover how Open Educational Resources (OER) can help you design more accessible, affordable, and inclusive learning experiences. This session will share practical strategies for finding, evaluating, and using OER to support diverse student needs while maintaining academic quality. Whether you're new to OER or looking to expand your use, you'll leave with actionable ideas for your courses. Register.
Thurs., 10/2 12 pm Zoom Research Skills by Design Help your students move from information gathering to meaningful synthesis by integrating research-focused coursework, real-life applications, and modeling into your teaching. During this workshop, we will explore practical multidisciplinary examples of what this might look like in your class. Register.
Thurs., 11/6 12 pm Zoom Copyright and Fair Use in Academia This session will introduce faculty to the essentials of copyright, fair use, and intellectual property in a university setting. We'll explore when and how to seek permission, how to use Creative Commons materials, and what to consider when assigning or creating digital projects. Register.
Thurs., 12/4 12 pm Zoom Streaming Films in Your Course: What Faculty Need to Know This session covers best practices for using streaming films in online and in-person courses. We'll discuss copyright considerations, licensing restrictions, library resources, and tips for selecting and sharing content legally and effectively. Register.
