Finding Unbiased Media

Media outlets that are committed to reporting as unbiased as possible, plays a pivotal role in elections by fostering an informed electorate and ensuring a fair democratic process. Media can serve as a reliable source for voters, promoting transparency and trust in the electoral system, ultimately safeguarding the integrity of the democratic process. 

There are a couple of charts that seek to help media consumers understand bias in the media. The one below is created by AllSides and is created using multi-partisan scientific analysis. 

Media bias charts are helpful, but not perfect

The article, Should you Trust Media Bias Charts? from the Poynter Institute discusses some considerations to take when consulting media bias charts. The author says,

"Bias is only one thing that you need to pay attention to when you consume news. What you also want to pay attention to is the quality of the actual reporting and writing and the editing..."
