Check out some of the several clubs there are at UMA. Student Clubs & Organizations offer students a chance to connect with their classmates on similar interests or areas of study. Joining a club can mean building a cohort with your fellow classmates.

Over the last few years, the University of Maine at Augusta Community Gardens have been reborn as educational centers that integrate coursework, research, student clubs, campus events, and outreach to surrounding communities. In the gardens, growing community and growing food take place side by side. The vegetables we grow are donated to on-campus food closets and off-campus food banks as part of our commitment to address food insecurity in the state of Maine. In this way, the UMA Community Gardens are not just projects for engagement but also for service and justice.

UMA Community Gardens are located on the Augusta and Bangor Campuses

Katz Library (Augusta) and Nottage Library (Bangor) are great places to study, unwind, or just exist! Both libraries have dedicated quiet zones, Zoom rooms, and brand new Nook Pods. The libraries are open to the public.

MaineCITE has created an accessible garden space to demonstrate tools and accessible design ideas.

The demonstration garden space features:
-Accessible pathways,
-Raised beds and planters,
-Different work heights,
-Adaptive garden tools to try yourself, and
-Beautiful plants to see, feel, smell, taste and hear!

Garden is located outside the Maine CITE office in the Katz Building on the Augusta Campus. This garden is open to the public.

UMA Fitness Centers are located on the Augusta and Bangor Campuses and are free for students, staff, and faculty.
