How do you know a source is credible? 

When you are tasked with doing research for an assignment, the amount of sources and information available to you can feel overwhelming.How do you know a source is appropriate for your research topic? How do you know you're using the right experts and publications? 

When you find a source that you want to use in an assignment, here are some things to consider:

  • Authority & purpose
  • Documentation
  • Publication or format & date
  • Relevance
  • Packaging & Design

We'll go into more depth on each of these as you navigate this guide.
